Sports and STEM

STEM stands for: Science Technology Engineering and Math. In the Homeschool Sports and STEM program we will focus on problem solving puzzles through hands on activities teaching the children how to do different activities will include, but is not limited to: programming a robot, building with nuts and bolts, and using a microscope to learn about the smallest things that make up many things. We will using science to point the children back to the God behind the science.

The Homeschool Sport and STEM program in Brantford are a new program offered by Brant Community Church. Our aim is to connect with families in the Homeschool community in Brantford and surrounding area by providing a program that is fun, co-ed, recreational and affordable. Our progams are designed with your family in mind.

The camps will be run on Tuesdays from 1-3pm, and in six (6) week sessions of five (5) weeks each.

All weeks will take place at Brant Community Church (Brantford) located at 69 Superior St.

Our Sports and STEM program is open to anyone in the homeschool community in the grades JK-Grade 4

The church will allow us to use the nursery and preschool rooms for anyone too young to participate in the Sports and STEM program as long as there is an adult present to supervise.

Your child will need running shoes (recommended), and a water bottle.

The group will be split into the two age groups, one group will play the sports while the other does the STEM program. A team talk and snack will be provided, and then the groups will switch the activity they are doing.

We want your child to learn more than how to play a specific sport. After each game your child’s team will participate in a “Team-Talk”. The “Team-Talk” is a faith based talk from a Christian perspective.

Our are staffed by volunteers from Brant Community Church. The church is committed to serving the community by providing an affordable and enjoyable experience to your family.

The camper fee is $25 per five (5) week session.

Every child deserves to play. We work with local community organizations that provide funding and bursaries to families in need. Contact us at [email protected]etics.ca for more information if funding is needed.

We and our partners take the command "Love your neighbour" pretty seriously. Meaning that all of our leagues are for children and families of all backgrounds and cultures.
